Hi, dear current and former club members,
"yi4 yuan2 fu4shi3, wang4xiang4 geng1xin1" (the new year is here,
everything should be renewed. :)
As you may or may not know, our site is still in crisis (please refer to
attached email).
in order to save our site/club, and let it move forward, i would like to:
1. passing this "e to lao-lang", which was sent to him 2 weeks ago
but got no answer so far, to almost EVERY current and former HJclub
members with some explanations and calling for the re-election of
club chairman;
2. posting the same on our internal bbs;
3. LX/Arthur will create a new internal bbs for all us discuss these
things only, and let everyone know the web link thru email. then we
will discuss and process the election there within the next a few
days. all people who won't show up will be assumed giving the
voting right up.
4. discuss and help the new chair on the re-organization and making
our future new policies.
i am sincerely asking your attention and participation, and really
hope "we together be able to show the world how good we can
do in addition to how good we can say. "

Hi Lao-lang, after days of trying to talk with you, i think now i have
to
send you this email. i am putting long in short as A,B,C below:
A. The crisis we are facing
1. some best writers and wang-you of hnbc already lunched a new
site "ying-hong-chong" yesterday (see lx's e attached below),
now it's for sure that more and more of our writers, wy and even
ban-zhu will or may jump over anytime;
2. Arthur called me last night and expressed that he is no longer
willing to continue the current discounted T1-line deal between
his boss and hnbc, but finally he agreed to wait for a good change;
3. as you said you are no longer like to carry the financial burden,
and also concerned it may politically affect your other businesses
and hai-gui site;
4. you and some our ban-zhu already have argued on the re-org
and financial issues openly on our site for a while, so everyone
now is expecting a quick and real solution;
B. The possible best solution now appears
1. the widest accepted and most capable person, lao-xiong, now
likes to consider step out to become the new leader;
2. a foundation just expressed their interesting of buying bbs software
from lx /us to support hnbc (so far we talking about only $500-$1500);
3. lao-chong like to help considering the chief ban-zhu again under
this new formation;
4. i believe that most infernal personnel will support this change
with their continuing contribution;
C. so now what i hope from you are:
1. agree to support this peaceful and friendly transformation and then
focus on your china-related businesses and hai-gui site;
2. lx, Arthur and others agree to give-up all interest of hai-gui site,
and
you consider to give-up about 1/2 of what you have prepaid so far
for hnbc as your payment for usage of hai-gui site, etc., and hnbc will
do it's best to pay you the other 1/2 if we get the donation;
(this item may change according to the related parties' mind)
3. for the future internet line expenses, you and hnbc will cover it
together
by 50/50, regardless if hnbc getting any donation or not;
ll, i really hope we together be able to show the world how good we
can do in addition to what we can say. your generous and sensible
attitude is mostly needed at this moment.
i am/we are looking forward to getting your answer right away or asap.

lx, lao lang told me that he isn't really intend to stand this site for
long due to financial and political reasons.
he is now even thinking of a public auction on the net. i think there
should be some better ways
such as letting some independent (in/outside) people or org/company
(e.g.,
XX) take us over.
but we should talk/act asap in order to avoid a miserable ending. it
will
become too late if
something else happened either inside or outside.
one of major issue is, i'd like to know how much of rewards LL and you
want
for the hard/soft ware
assets we have, before i get in touch with any potential successors.
in addition, we, as "jing-ying" of chinese, are talking about practicing
democratic systems, peaceful transitions, ... everyday,
now we face the reality, then we forget what we are saying and handle it
ugly again like most
chinese orgs have been doing?! but otherwise, now we have the real
chance
to show the world that
we really can do, not only say, something pretty!
i'll try to call you later this evening if you can't reach me here
during
the day.
i still can't reach LL during the day, for 3 days now.
